Victorian Sex Explorer, presented by Rupert Everett for Channel 4’s Victorian Passions season, has been named Best History programme in this year’s Royal Society Television awards.

The film, in which Rupert Everett takes us on a journey through Victoria’s Empire in search of infamous explorer Sir Richard Burton, was called ‘Exotic, original, funny and intensely personal’ by The Times.

Blast! have been working with Hollywood actor Rupert Everett again on a two part series for Channel 4 about the maverick Romantic poet Lord Byron. Shot last year in Portugal, Albania, Greece, Turkey and Italy, the series will be shown on Channel 4 in the summer.
