Somewhere Called Home: Housing Yorkshire is a brand new series following frontline officers at one of the country’s biggest social housing providers. Many of their 40,000 tenants are among Britain’s poorest, and for them this team can be the difference between a home and the streets. By turn the stories can be warm and uplifting, but there’s plenty of tough love when things go wrong. No two days are ever the same.

Set across the UK’s biggest county, the housing team can be sent out to anything from resolving disputes about noisy pets, to confronting anti social behaviour or tackling a tenant’s spiralling debt. But not everyone they visit is happy to receive their help.
